Crews and a task force leader gridded the guards in Piprell Lake, finding 4 hotspots. In the northeast corner of the fire another crew built a helicopter pad north of HWY 106 and assisted Silver City Interagency Hotshot Crew (IHC) with direct attack to the north. After checking for heat on the western perimeter indicated by June 24’s drone scan, Panhandle IHC sent a short squad up to build a helicopter ahead of those crews in the northeast. The last crew patrolled and gridded for heat in Little Bear and Moose Horn. Division South crews were again spread out from HWY 106 east. Crews at Harding Road extinguished 8 hotspots and gridded the rest of the day.
