Weather Max. Temp: 18C. Min. RH: 85%. Winds: Generally E 10-25 km/h. Precipitation: up to 8 mm in rain showers. The surface inversion is expected to break around 09:00 CST Wednesday morning. An upper trough will continue to bring cloudy skies and rain showers with a risk of thundershowers to the area. Up to 10 mm, winds gusting 70 km/h and a risk of hail possible in thundershowers.
Evacuations East Trout Lake, Whiteswan/Whelan Bay 
Impacts Values lost. Closures of HWYs 912 and 913. Intermittent closures of HWY 106. Closure of Narrow Hills Provincial Park. East Trout-Nipekamew Lakes Recreation Site is closed.  

Map of SHOE Fire on June 18Heavy mop-up and direct attack occurred on the fire June 17. Fire is at 40% containment with work continuing across the fire. The NOTAM (Notice to Airmen) was adjusted the afternoon of June 17 and moved west to allow air traffic back into Candle Lake. In Division North, work continues on clearing hazard trees to access East Trout Lake with 4km to be finished June 18. Crews continue to patrol from East Trout Lake down to Whelan Bay, with no heat found. Crews worked hotspots in Piprell Lake area with pumps and a water tender to work hot spots in dozer pushes. Crews also patrolled Little Bear and MooseHorn.

Silver City Interagency Hotshot Crew (IHC) anchored in off HWY 120 and began working south along the perimeter towards pad 25. Idaho Panhandle IHC scouted and will begin going direct on the perimeter north of HWY 120 June 18. Division South continued work from the division break on the west, flying in crews to work from helicopter pads to secure the southwest corner.

Crews working the dozer pushes to the east and west of HWY 106, just north of Smeaton found no heat by the end of shift June 17. Crews continue to work hotspots at Kelsey Lake over to Harding Road and the far southeast corner. Structure group pulled protection off structures north of the community of Love.

Weather Max. Temp: 18C. Min. RH: 45%. Winds: NE 10-20 G30 km/h Precipitation: NIL. A broad upper trough will continue to bring cloudy skies with a small chance of rain showers in the area. An arctic high will bring relatively calm winds and stable conditions to the region making the risk of thundershowers for the area very low.
Impacts Values Lost. Closure of bridge at Clam Crossing (Highway 935), Closure of Lac La Ronge Provincial Park (until June 26). Power and communications outages.

Map of PISEW Fire on June 18Crews continue to reinforce control lines in and around subdivisions for the shift. Division Y (Yankee) will be staffed with fully qualified division supervisors and IHC type 1 hand crews. Crews will be doing direct attack on the burn between Bigstone and Egg Lakes. Operations will continue to utilize aircraft in the other divisions for transportation and water delivery support.
