Fire Bans

Always be aware of when and where burning is permitted in Saskatchewan to help prevent wildfires.

Municipalities, regional, and national parks have the authority to ban open burning in their areas of responsibility, while the SPSA can restrict open burning in provincial forests, parks and Crown land. Make sure to check with your local authority to see if any burning restrictions are currently in effect before you light a fire.

Campfire restrictions may be put in place for specific provincial parks and recreation sites, based on local conditions. More information can be found at Tourism Saskatchewan.
