Wildfire Smoke and Air Quality

FireWork provides current and forecast information on wildfire smoke and air quality.

For information on air quality, please see the provincial air quality index or visit Environment Canada's alerts.

Wildfire smoke can affect your health

If you or someone you know has respiratory or heart conditions, symptoms can worsen during minor and severe smoke events. During severe smoke events, even healthy individuals can be affected and may experience irritation of the eyes, throat and possibly shortness of breath.

Everyone – particularly those with pre-existing respiratory or heart conditions – should monitor their symptoms and seek medical care if symptoms worsen.
